ABOUT THE ARTIST
Maria Economides is an independent ceramic artist based in Athens.
After visiting her studio in Kolonaki, it is clear that there is something inherently different about her as an artist and, her work.
Maria's striking pieces sit in stark contrast to the mass-produced works of today given her dedication to her craft. There are no short cuts. Clay needs time, patience, concentration and, most of all, presence - something we can all practice more of.
